Male strip show in Rotterdam: what to expect on the night

In this article

A male strip show in Rotterdam at BonTon Rotterdam lasts an hour and a half: a live performance by male dancers with music, lighting effects and cocktails at the bar. You book a ticket in advance, shows run on Friday and Saturday evenings at Oostplein, and everyone aged 18 and over is welcome. Here is what the night looks like from the moment the doors open, what to wear and what you can add to your booking.

What is BonTon Rotterdam?

BonTon Rotterdam is a club with an all-male cast of dancers, located at Oostplein 226 and open since May 2025. It is a scheduled show with a clear start and finish, not a bar you wander into and hope for the best. You sit with your group and the evening is built around the performance.

When the club opened, NL Times reported that the dancers are professionals trained in dancing and stripping, and that consent is the rule: a dancer who offers a lap dance backs off if you say no. BonTon itself says its dancers treat guests like true gentlemen.

How the night works

Doors open 30 minutes before each show. That gives you time to get in, order a signature cocktail and find a spot for your group. After that comes the live show, which runs for an hour and a half. There are two shows on both Friday and Saturday:

  • Friday: early show 20:00–21:30, late show 22:30–00:00
  • Saturday: early show 19:30–21:00, late show 22:00–23:30

The club is open from 19:00 to 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Show times can change, so check the ticket page before you book.

Early or late show?

The early show leaves the rest of your night free for a drink somewhere else in the city. The late show gives you time for a proper dinner first: doors open at 22:00 on Friday and 21:30 on Saturday. Choose based on how you want to spend the rest of the evening.

What can you add to your ticket?

Your ticket covers entry and the live show. A lap dance is not included. You book it as an extra, during or after buying your tickets, and it is performed on the stage. The number of spots per show is limited and they go to whoever books first. If you want to make the bride or the birthday girl the centre of attention, a lap dance is an option. Nobody has to take one.

A photo moment is not included either and is booked separately during your visit. Filming or taking photos yourself inside the club is not the idea.

Visiting from abroad? British groups tend to search for a hen do or a bachelorette party; in Rotterdam the same occasion is a vrijgezellenfeest. The club's website names bachelorette parties, birthdays and group nights as typical reasons to come, but you do not need an occasion to book.

Dress code and house rules

The dress code is "dress to impress": stylish, sexy and ready for a night out. Sportswear and beachwear are not welcome, and the doorman has the final say. A dress, a jumpsuit or smart trousers with a nice top all fit.

The show uses strobe and flashing lights, which matters if you have photosensitive epilepsy. Bring valid photo ID, as the minimum age is 18. Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, so men and couples are just as free to book.

Getting there and getting home

Rotterdam Centraal is the city's main rail hub, where national and international trains meet the metro. BonTon sits at Oostplein, which has its own metro station. According to Wikipedia, lines A, B and C stop there, although line A does not run in the evenings. Plan your journey home after the late show in the 9292 planner. On Friday and Saturday nights RET runs night buses from Rotterdam Centraal, with the first departures between about 00:30 and 01:00, according to Rotterdam Style.

Booking your tickets

Planning a night out in Rotterdam? Check the show times and tickets to see which shows still have space. You can book up to 30 tickets online in one go; larger groups should contact the club. Tickets cannot be moved to another date or time after purchase, so book once your group is confirmed. More practical details are on the plan a visit page, and what's inside explains what to expect on the night.
